I'd like to recommend to anybody who is fond of string quartets to go to YouTube and watch the Dover String Quartet performances at the
Banff International String Quartet Competition. I had the good fortune to hear this group at Music Mountain in Falls Village, CT last summer.
In my opinion, though still very young, all about 28 years old, they are the successors to the Guarneri Quartet. Their peformances are vibrant, exciting, and reveal a technical mastery to be expected of musicians who have been playing together for longer than these young musicians have been alive !
The members of the quartet are as follows: first violin, Joel Link; second violin, Bryan Lee; viola, Milena Pajaro-van der Stadt; violoncello, Camden Shaw. As performers, I would rate each one of them as excellent.
