Is there anyone else participating in this thread who likes Max Reger's music ? He is, to say the least, not the most popular of classical composers. Those who know him only through his turgid orchestral variations ought to listen to some of his chamber music. Some of it is in a charming neoBaroque style.
His organ music reveals that he is the greatest contrapuntist since Johann Sebastian Bach.

Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, No 13 Dance of the Knights by the London Symphony Orchestra
with Valery Gergiev as the conductor.
A fantastic composition by Prokofiev and a great performance by the LSO.

These ones are some pretty curious findings, south american baroque compositions from the viceroyalty of Peru:
Opera: San Francisco Xavier~ INDIOS CHIQUITANOS/ANÓNIMO~ Baroque Music in Missions of Chiquitos (ca.1740).
