Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (7th May 1840 – 6th November 1893) was a Russian composer of the Romantic period.

He was the first Russian composer whose music would make a lasting impression internationally.

He wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the current classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, the 1812 Overture, his First Piano Concerto, several symphonies, and the opera Eugene Onegin.

His musical compositions sound magical.

"Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev (27th April 1891 – 5th March 1953) was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor who later worked in the Soviet Union.

As the creator of acknowledged masterpieces across numerous music genres, he is regarded as one of the major composers of the 20th century.

His works include such widely heard pieces as the March from The Love for Three Oranges, the suite Lieutenant Kijé, the ballet Romeo and Juliet—from which "Dance of the Knights" is taken—and Peter and the Wolf."

Here's a timeless piece of very dramatic music (Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet) that was composed by Prokofiev, being performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Valery Gergiev.
