What language do you think in?

lol, I never do this, although I think in English when writing in a forum like this. In Greek we say ''ah'' for pain and it comes so naturally that it's imposible for me to say ''ouch''. My older sister who is a TV zombie (watching American movies, series and shows) frequently uses it...

I'd say it simply has to do with how much exposed to it you are in your daily life. Actually, the first time I surprised myself saying oops after committing a mistake, I felt like a language traitor.

But I still haven't surrendered to the power of offensive words. I mean, no matter how offensive the word is in English, I can't really feel offended by it. Offensive words in languages other than yours tend to sound void or even funny.
