what part of cuba did u go to? iv been there 3 times, its a 45 minute trip from miami (where im at) and went pretty much from west to east on roadtrips there and some domestic flights
im not disagreeing with you, its just that cuba has lot a variations of whites in general, yes there is alooooot of whites in cuba, moreso than what they say it is
cuba as a whole today is 51% mixed, 34% true white, and 15% black
the parts that i saw where the cubans looked anglo af was in pinar de rio and havana but i also saw alot of blacks, mulattoes predominate no doubt

I have seen people with very distant Black ancestry looking mixed.
I have a friend who looks very mixed and his parents and grandparents all look white. But his great-grandmother was mulatta and it showed on him.
SSA blood is way more strong than Amerindian. In Brazil even exists the (false) impression that all Argentinians are white because of it. Most people here can't spot non-European traits in a relatively light-skinned person.
I bet this Norwegian would be considered ''moreno'' by some in Brazil even if he looks full white:

According to genetic studies whites are on average 80% euro, pardos are on average 60% euro and blacks are on average 40% euro. That shows that (while not perfect) self identification is a good source for Brazil.

I think SSA being very dominant is why most people think that Argentina is much more euro than Brazil or Puerto Rico. i have seen people in 23andme who are 30% Amerindian and look very euro. In the other hand 30% SSA looks nigerian

This is my self-rule:
80-100% Black = Will always look Black
50-80% = Will always either look mixed or like a full Black person.
25-50% = Will almost surely look mixed but will hardly look like a full-blooded Black person.
15-25% = Will usually have Black characteristics, will never look full-Black, will rarely look White.
7-15% = Most will look White, some will look slightly mixed.
1-7% = Will never manifest on phenotype.

Kind of. But many people who are on the lower spectrum of Whiteness among the self-identified Whites of Brazil will be 70% White (like me for example) or even lower than that. We are talking about a significant number that could be about 20-30% of the self-declared Whites. And many people who are genetically more euro than me (let's say 75 or even 80% Euro) can occasionally look mixed as well. I think the percentage of Whites in Brazil is important from a political point of view, but almost half of those look mixed. And sure, some pardos (maybe even a few "Blacks") are White-looking with darker skin, but I'd say those are much rarer than mixed looking "Whites".
