Are Turks White?

Well, speaking about Turkish Americans, to give an example Dr. Mehmet Öz as an individual always looked somewhat 'White American' to me and he has Anatolian roots from Konya.



Dunno if that's just me, but I doubt he looks foreign to there.

He totally looks like a stereotypical American for me. His being Turkish would not even cross my mind.

Anatolian Turks had a clear relationship with Galatians in the past. This explains many things. These are not a coincidence;

Most of turks are whiter at their skin color than most greeks,most south italians.
Also if you take how much corruption there is in Greece,South Italy turks are whiter from this point of view also.

No, we got also tones of brown people in Turkey. Esmer means brown. I am sure more than 50% of the population in Turkey is esmer. And we got like over 75 millions of people living in the whole Turkey so basically like 37-40 millions of people are certainly brown

Well if you got brown people,that is from med admixture,since west-asian/caucasian admixture is giving a pretty white skin tone.
(take for example Georgia which are whiter on average than Romania,Bulgaria,Spain and so on -they have mostly west asian/caucasian admixture there).
Also east-asian admixture is giving white skin tone.
I saw there is plenty of med admixture in Turkey.
So real turks are not brown,I am reffering to the mix of caucasian + east asian people.

I think we have a color identification problem here. In my book, not even Kurds are brown. The only browns i see in Turkey are some gypsies and the middle-eastern people i see in Istanbul and in some touristic resorts.

To me esmer is anyone who is black haired OR tanned skin coloured.

For example all of them are esmer / brown -the first guy is obviously black- :



And of course all Indians etc are also brown, they are rather dark brown in compare to us.
