The 'evil eye' has its place in Islam.

It is the eye of Dajal. Evil eye, Isabat al-’ayn, is a common belief that individuals have the power to look at people, animals or objects to cause them harm. In Islam, God is the only one who can protect against the evil eye; no object or symbol can. Prophet Muhammad prohibited the use of talismans as protection against the evil eye because it is idolatry, the form of protection allowed being supplication to Allah. It is tradition among many Muslims that if a compliment is to be made one should say "Masha'Allah" (ما شاء الله‎) ("God has willed it.") and also "Tabarakallah" (تبارك الله‎) ("Blessings of God") to ward off the evil eye. Reciting Sura Al-Falaq and Sura Al-Nas from the Qur'an is also used as a means of personal protection against the evil eye.

But there is no problem in using nazar amulets just as an accessory, so without giving it any paranormal meaning or status.

i believe in nazar but wearing nazar amulets or anything like that is stupid and believing something you wear protects you from evil is a sin also..

Us Balkanians use it too. I think the Greeks call it the eye of Osiris or something. I have one that was given to me by my grandparents. It is said to protect you from the evil eye, but I think it is evil in it self.

I don't believe either but I appreciate them as cultural heritage and some of them have a good logic behind ,for example I prefer God made altars instead human made buildings ,like trees, ..they are alive
