    I'd advocate for René Zosso's interpretation :

It's seems weird to see so many stuff from the XVIth down to the XVIIIth century in a "Medieval" thread, but I guess the Middle Ages didn't stop everywhere at the same time.

D'un autre Peirol, per lo Peyrol d'eiçi :

All those have been put on Youtube by myself, their quality is "certified".

This one is for our Catalan friend, with the text.

Proper version of what's commonly known as the "Palästinalied", one of the rare German songs of crusade (melody possible borrowed from Jaufré Rudel, but those German songs were way posterior to the French ones, there's bound to be melodic recycling).

I can post a .pdf book with most of Machaut's virelais in modern notation (with lyrics included of course) if you want. I'm now working on a romantic piano reinterpretation of "Douce Dame Jolie" by him. I'll post that too when it's finished.

I posted this song even in the northern italian folk music song...but this topic is more appropriate...

Prinsi Raimônd, also known as ''L'anej'' (the ring) a medieval song from Piemont, my region, sung in piemontèis...it talk about the prince Raymond du Savoye, who went to the Crusades and left in Piemont his wife, the duchess Gertrud du Valois....during his absence, his ''evil cousin'', the Prince of Lyon, tried to insidiate the duchess with a false new about the prince's infidelity, and created a false ring for the duchess...
