Turks laugh at Greek fears of attack

Ofc they fear because those islands has been awarded to them by the western powers roughly 85 years ago. Those islands were Turkish territory for about 500 years. Before Turkey`s possession, those were part of Venetian, Arabian and eastern Roman empires.

Italy occupied them all at first in early 1900s but British empire wanted their protectorate state of Greece take them all instead because they wanted to secure their strongholds in the Mediterranean region for the future. They didn't want stronger nations like Italy or Turkey to take control of these islands.

Greek possession of these islands are so absurd that most of these are 1000s miles away from Greek mainland but visible from Turkish coasts by naked eye, some are like 2-3 miles away from Turkey.

Greece never had proper resources to support these several islands all by themselves either because it`s so far away from Greece. Most of these islands are currently suffering because of economical crisis and the people in these islands are destined to Turkey to be able to continue to their lives. They get water, food, clothing and all the other necessary stuff by traveling to Turkey by boats because it`s cheaper to buy everything from 2-3 miles away Turkey, instead of 1000+ miles away Greece or from other bigger islands in the region.

Actually Italians gave the Dodecanese in 1947, not 85 years ago. And your "foot" on Europe is from eastern Thrace not the islands. Why don't you say the truth that it's not the islands you want but the coastline borders to be extended. How many nautical miles is it you want again?
