Just watched these clips. Have seen a lot like it and in real life but these are particularly good. Would like to see the whole episode if i can find it. It is particularly useful for Early Medieval/Dark Age combat in general, not just Vikings. Certainly is good in pointing out that most Hollywood style films/shows are really inaccurate, and this creates a lot of misconceptions.

Am looking to go into re-enactment of a similar period at some-point soon. Of course combat is only one facet of that.

Edit: Of course there are limitations with this also. A lot of the time there is some emphasis on the shield as a target, although some groups work on a proper system which adds realism. Also at that time there were a great number of injuries to both the legs and the head (of those injured or killed in combat) - So basically (as the guy correctly states) they would go around the shield, or over/under it. And of course bypassing any mail or a helmet - Although most or at least the majority of combatants had no iron mail or helmet. So that is another limitation - Due to the fact that you don't want to be constantly breaking bones or fracturing skulls during re-enactments, the majority of re-enactors will use a helmet and mail, often as health and safety requirement.
