Having grown up in SA I can confirm that Africans smell 'different'. There is a reason for this, I will dig it up tomorrow.

Yep, they sure do! I had a great friend back in med school....he was a Chinese MD/PhD student who was working on the PhD part when he befriended me. We talked about EVERYthing when it came to this sort of shit lol. He affectionately referred to me as "Northern Woman" and it was merely meant as acknowlegement of my very Northern Euro phenotype as it contrasted with the Asian phenotype lol. He used to tell me that Asian chicks were the best smelling chicks in every way. He had never dated a white girl, and he never wanted to date one. One reason for this is that most white girls are just too damned big (he was petite and slender in that stereotypically Asian way) and the other reason he mentioned was the smell. He never liked the way white girls smelled. He said most Asian dudes felt the same way lol

I really think each race is programmed to prefer their own race when it comes to dating, sex, and marriage. One way this manifests itself is in the area of pheromones. I definitely prefer the pheromones of Northern/Northwestern Euro men above all others. It has always been this way for me. I bet it is similar for most of us. We prefer our own.

A Functional ABCC11 Allele Is Essential in the Biochemical Formation of Human Axillary Odor

The characteristic human axillary odor is formed by bacterial action on odor precursors that originate from apocrine sweat glands. Caucasians and Africans possess a strong axillary odor ,whereas many Asians have only a faint acidic odor. In this study, we provide evidence that the gene ABCC11 (MRP8), which encodes an apical efflux pump, is crucial for the formation of the characteristic axillary odor and that a single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) 538G → A, which is prominent among Asian people, leads to a nearly complete loss of the typical odor components in axillary sweat. The secretion of amino-acid conjugates of human-specific odorants is abolished in homozygotic carriers of the SNP, and steroidal odorants and their putative precursors are significantly reduced. Moreover, we show that ABCC11 is expressed and localized in apocrine sweat glands. These data point to a key function of ABCC11 in the secretion of odorants and their precursors from apocrine sweat glands. SNP 538G → A, which also determines human earwax type, is present on an extended haplotype, which has reached >95% frequency in certain populations in recent human evolution. A strong positive selection in mate choice for low-odorant partners with a dysfunctional ABCC11 gene seems a plausible explanation for this striking frequency of a loss-of-function allele.

You guys must hang around some smelly folks. Ive never noticed a "Black/White/Asian" smell. Having been on the football team throughout middle school & highschool. All the dudes smelled in the locker room. Sounds more like to me people are associating a smell someone got from sweating, or a scent they gathered from their house whether through cooking, or what have you thats sticking on them to a race's specific smell.

I know some people who always have a specific smell, and its mostly due to their homes smelling like shit/the foods they cook. A guy i knew used to smell like dog piss all the time, even when he had clean clothes on. It was because his dog pissed all over the carpet, and that smell just saturates everything.

The only specific smell i have ever smelled from Black people comes from the grease in their hair lol.

However, i will be putting this to the test. I will call Shante over tommorow for a smelling session.

I know it can't be their hair thats smelling, apparently, their hair doesn't need washing as much as ours does.
