E-V13 is a quite likely candidate for being associated with Illyrians, a high diversity point of E-V13 is found in Bosnia i think, due to coming Slavs they(Illyrians) retreated in present day Albania. Even if E-V13 isn't the Illyrians it's still one of the oldest HG in the region so...

E-V13 probably originated in the southern Balkans about 9000 ybp. Its ancestral haplogroup, E1b1b1a-M78, could be of a northeast African origin.

Many describe Illyrians deriving from the HALLSTATT CULTURE. Now the Illyrians fleeing to Albania is ridiculous, one, they were devastated by Romans, then Romanised during 150AD (illyrians EXTINCT), two, where are the wars and resistence by illyrians with the oncoming of Slavs, illyrians resisted against Rome in 150AD, they didn't retreat to Albanian mountains to be isolated.
PS Where are the Roman sources telling us Shqiptars/Illyrians retreated to the snow capped mountains of Albania when Slavs invade?

And it's no coincidence that Serbs have names such as Bato, Desa, Nesho, etc. There are many others that probably hold some hidden ancient meanings. I could tell off the bat that the name Desa is related to Dacia, Nesho from Naissus. Serbs/Slavs have always been in the Balkans and northwards. That whole Eastern area of Europe was slavic.

So let me get this straight, you think invading Slavs in the 4th...7th century joined other Slavs who were already present in Balkans?

Solin, yes, l do believe this.....where are the documented evidence from Roman/Byzantium sources which describe Slavs conquering illyrians/Thracians and Dacians?
I have ONLYfound sources telling me of Byzantines inviting slavs to settle regions that were unpopulated...why....to protect the empire from Northern Hordes. If Illyrian/thracian or Dacian subjects were present, then the slavs would not have been invited from leaders of Byzantium.
Do you know Slavs were such a large mass of people within Byzantium during the 6th cent; many Slavs were in high ranking authority. WHERE THE HELL WERE THE ALBANIANS? WHY WEREN'T THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IN BYZANTIUM....BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T EVEN PRESENT IN THE BALKANS AT THAT TIME (Unless your a fool to believe in the sham known as the mountain theory)
