Depends. I always try to go with American products first if possible. Can't always do it however, even when dealing with American companies much of their stock is made offshore somewhere. If I have the choice, I will go with European made items over Chinese based on various politcal reasons. I do own a number of items that are very well made that were manufactered in Japan,India or Taiwan.
Automobiles I go with Amercian brands such as Chevy or Ford, but even then it's the same scenario with much of the parts are made elsewhere. You really have a tough time finding 100% American made products, but they are out there if you look hard enough.

Somethings America just sucks at. Cars are one of them.

I don't think so, America is not a collectivist nation. Look how big Sony got, the top selling Tv's in America now are by Samsung, The top selling band in the US of all time, is British. America has always supported foreign buisnesses.

I'm not fond of many American corporations, because its a trend among them to purposely create faulty hardware just so you can spend more money. To this day i still think the Xbox 360 red ringing of death was all a ploy by Microsoft to get even more money. Look how long it took them to fix it, they knew what they were doing. Dell is another American corporation who purposely make their products really cheap, or hard as fuck to fix yourself so they can charge you more money.
Send me dms asking me to classify you, i'll have Barbarianna of Barbaria here put a few holes in you. Then I'll take this guitar and smash it over your head.

That`s called planned obsolescence. Only European brands like Nokia don`t produce products with a limited useful life.

Australians are quite similar in their purchasing habits.

Things that are either Australian-made or companies that are Australian-owned are labelled very obviously on product packaging or promoted as a key selling point in ads.

There's a big campaign to support local Australian businesses or franchises (particularly farms) in each state.

I don't care for nationalism but to be fair though; when it comes to agricultural produce, Australia is at the top of the world. Everything else in the world tastes shit wherever I go compared to Australian produce, but particularly the meat.

European "veal" is what we'd call beef jerky in Australia.

Either way since Australia grows almost all of it's own food; people support it anyway.

In theory, yeah. In practice? Aside from a few pockets of the country with specific products, an example being Detroit area with American made automobiles, no. Because you have to pay a lot more for things to be American made.

i dont know if they are but i am definitely as i decided since this year, i only buy now products by european companies. Obviously avoiding made in china or consuming domestic made products only is impossible, but based on companies is not.

Screw asia who cares about samsung, apple or nintendo, europeans have some good devices too.

I am happy to report as a American that every consumable good a majority of the time comes with the seal Made In China.

Of course the average American idiot or sheeple cannot tell the difference where their materials goods come from and most don't care which is why all our manufacturing capabilities has outsourced.
