So most of our Neanderthal ancestry comes from daughters whose fathers were Neanderthal and whose mothers were human. Such daughters had human mtDNA haplogroups (inherited from mothers) and of course didn't have Y-DNA due to being women.

They are Eurocentric and based on a flawed, earlier interpretation of Neanderthal tissue that predates Svaante Paabo's breakthroughs in coding the Neanderthal genome. We now have absolute proof that Neanderthals had dark black skin from their genes. Interestingly East Asians and Native Americans have the highest Neanderthal introgression, and the greatest number of Neanderthal haplotypes related to skin and hair formation. The modern crania that are most similar to Neanderthals in facial morphology are Wajin crania from central Japan, as well as Tungisic skulls from Mongolia. Some Amerindians are also very close to Neanderthals.
