Yes, it is also in books that the Aegean islands are more gracile Med and less Dinarid. If you check the metrics you see a stronger Med component and a lower cephalic index, especially in the southern islands. But it is more a high-skulled gracile Med type - so an rather an Eastern Med type (possibly South Med). It is more similar to Sicily, but still different.

The difference between the Aegean islands and Sicily is that Aegean islands have less Armenoid and "hook nosed" (for lack of better term) Levantine types, which makes sense since Sicily has direct influence from the Phoenicians and North Africa. It's possible that the Med type there is a sort of gracilized Pontid.

There is also a Nordid element in Crete but I don't know what the origin of that is.

Now, how much influence does mainland Greece have from Slavic populations and their northern neighbors? Probably much more than they have from the east.
