But it is more a high-skulled gracile Med type - so an rather an Eastern Med type (possibly South Med). It is more similar to Sicily, but still different.

    South Aegean islands (Greece)
height (early 20th century): 165 cm
    cephalic index: 77
    head size (L+B): 34 cm
    cranial nasal index: 45
    height length index: 77

The difference between the Aegean islands and Sicily is that Aegean islands have less Armenoid and "hook nosed" (for lack of better term) Levantine types, which makes sense since Sicily has direct influence from the Phoenicians and North Africa. It's possible that the Med type there is a sort of gracilized Pontid.

There is also a Nordid element in Crete but I don't know what the origin of that is.

Now, how much influence does mainland Greece have from Slavic populations and their northern neighbors? Probably much more than they have from the east.

    Dear Ratatoskr!
I please the innovations about Hungary. Can find differences the regions in Hungary. The Kunság region have Turanid influence, Southern Transdanubia have Dinarid influence ect. In Hungary are too frequent the Alpinid, Baltid (they had mostly brown hair), Pontid types, and a lesser extent Borreby and Norid.

Modern Cumans are mix of Serbians and Romanians. Cumans did not survive the Ottoman wars. Read about them after the Ottoman wars and redemptio section: http://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunok#A...ts.C3.A1g_kora

Ratatoskr claimed that it would be ready sometime this winter. As you can see, most of the map is done and he also hasn't updated the site in a few months so I'd assume the portion still yet to be finished is very small.

So winter is gone and six months have passed since the last update. Did you think the site is abandoned?

Edit: I see Ratatoskr was online two days ago. So I guess it's still alive.

I had emailed him about a month ago and he said he is still working on it and should be ready in the next few months.

That small South American tip, who can forget this land known for its uniqueness and great diversity.
