    I've never been in New England or Louisiana but my answer is yes because this difference is felt deeply both by the walloons and flemish.

    Obviously not, but what made the difference grows is the split political system. Do that to any country and two nations will emerge within a nation, not matter how similar the people is.

    EXACTLY, there are many countries in Europe but less than half of the number of them are real nations.

    Countries that are not real nations include:

    FYROM, Greece, Montenegro, Moldova, Belgium, Bosnia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine(melting plot of many ethnicities) and many others..

    Depending on context. Flanders and Wallonia are mainly separated by language and to an extent culture. So I would say yes only in that context.
