Since 2011, the company has increased the power of its lasers five-fold, producing twice the laser output within the same volume. The weapon was run against five different scenarios including air defense; countering rockets, artillery, and mortar (abbreviated C-RAM or counter-RAM); and asymmetric warfare operations.

its from rheinmetal which makes the german tanks so its obvious they have enough money to invest into the newest weapons, but when it comes to navy and now even aircrafts germany lacks to other countries. We have no 5th generation stealthfight for example while america, russia and china have. I suppose we will buy american planes like f35 primarily in the future
