During the Spanish inquisition many Jews wanted to turn Christian to avoid getting ex pulsed or killed, many even migrated to the new world or mixed with Spaniards back then (this is probably why I show as 0.8% "jewish" in my 23andme results). But this doesn't make ALL Iberians / Spaniards "Sephardi Jewish, just a tiny percentage.. It's just a recent admixture, not an ancient one. Most Spaniards are of Visigoths, Celtic and most of all ancient Iberian ascendancy, not Jews or Moor like you guys obsessively want to put it out..

I have added many pure Spaniards on 23andme none show Jewish nor Mideast, just a few mixed ones like me show it because many North African, Arabs/ Jews mixed or fled to the new world along with the colonists.

What is true is that what they call Djudezmo or Ladino is nothing but 15th-century Spanish, with a few posterior additions depending on the place.
