It was created as a nation in 1831, after an 1830 revolt against Dutch rule that was supported by Britain and France, and became official after a treaty with Holland in 1839.

But its origins date back to the Dutch Revolt against the Spanish at the end of the 16th century, the Protestant northern lowland provinces got independence from the Spanish and ultimately became the Netherlands. The Catholic south split off and was under the Spanish, then Austrians, then French , then Dutch, briefly, after the fall of Napoleon, until it became "Belgium" in 1831.

Really Belgium only exists by historical accident, it suited people in and around Belgium that such a country or territory existed at particular time in history. It was born out of treaty rather than any particular shared culture or ethnicity, which is split between Dutch and French (Flemish and Walloon). Hence the current divisions there.

Belgium is also closely to us, we help create the nation of Belgium, We have 4 nations grouped together, Flanders people are genetically close to us, and germanic. French has had some impact on our language and culture, thus Belgium should join the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Belgium is a country that speaks Flemish, French and German. Before the dynasty of Sachsen-Cobourg und Gotha ascended the throne of Belgium, the throne was offered to the French royal house of Orléans. I know and can say that Belgium is heavily influenced by France, both in architecture, and culture. I can say, crudely, that Belgium would be a vassal state of France

Germany more like holland. Flanders speak Flemish a Dutch dialect. Germans are a massive minority found along the east of the Walloon part.

But think about it, once Britain owns Belgium we pretty much would control the European Union. also Belgium has a love for chocolates, like us. It's really a good relationship.

There's no need for Belgium join the UK, they're going to become a muslim state all the same.

Belgium is a fake country, they have no government for more than one year. They will split in 2 or 3. Flanders that is close to Holland, Brussels a muslim caliphate, and Wallonie will join France.

Cadbury's is sucky, I don't like cadbury. I much prefer Lindt, Côte d'or, Debauve & Gallais. Leonidas is not so bad either, Godiva is just overrated.

These days I don't bother with chocolate with less than 40% cocoa. Côte d'or is an exception though.
