Default Places in the Middle East, Africa, and Central America where it snows?

I'm curious. Where are some examples of places in those regions where there is snowfall?

I have heard that even in part of Morocco it snows.
And part of Kenya in the mountains.
And I keep reading that some parts of Mexico get snow too.

    Is this true?

Sometimes it snows in Israel, in the high grounds.

I know it snows in Lebanon because of Mount Lebanon, but in Israel I am a bit surprised.

In Lebanon it snows in the mountains (and we're the only Middle Eastern country that has no desert ;p). It snows in Syria and Palestine. In Saudi Arabia, there are certain areas where it hails.

The idea of snow in the Middle East is just hard to wrap my head around, same as Africa. But I know in places it does.

Even Israel surprises me since I think of it as an arid and dry place.

I know there's a couple of ski centres in Morocco (Atlas Mountains). But they cannot thrive because snow covers the ground only for 2 months (January-February). So I guess that there are some people on ski slopes at this moment. I heard also that in Sierra Nevada Mountains (Andalusia?) there were glaciers till 1912 but even now there are very good snow conditions.

It doesn't snow in the Arabian Peninsula (although it does hail, more of 'freak weather' in some areas in the Gulf) but why not in the Levant? the Levant is full of greenery and hills/mountains, it's not arid and dry (except Jordan)..
