    Some person told me that many lands in South Africa were not inhabited by Bantu nor Khoisan peoples before Dutch arrive to there, allegedly because of its cooler climate. I’m not sure if it is totally true.
    It's true that large swathes of inner South Africa were unpopulated, but the Trekboers gradually came into contact with Bantu tribes who moved southward. With some they made deals concerning land, and with others they fought battles.

    I didn't know mixing was that common. I definitely do not see any SSA in most South African Whites though.

    From the info I found, the females were taken into the white population and the males would have formed the Coloured population. Which would also explain why the Coloured population has slave surnames like January, February, Maart, April etc (if it is taken from the father), and why there are no (or hardly any) white people with those surnames because the females were assimilated and were given the surnames of the husband. I have yet to meet a white Mrs November.

    That's not true, there was no rule regarding that. It all depended on whether a female offspring got then married again to a white person, or not.
