I am from South Africa but I have been travelling extensively since the age of 6 (I was home-schooled);

I currently live in the red and red-orange areas every year, for a few weeks or months;

I spend some time in the light orange areas every year, usually 1 week;

and I lived in the gray areas in the past, renting a house or apartment, for 3-4 weeks at a time!

I also have Swedish and Canadian citizenship,
and Australian and Singaporean permanent residency

I asked you in PM already, but will do again for other members to read: how do you see future of Orania and white majority areas (maybe with coloureds too?)you are trying to organize in western cape? I read SA government is trying to break up Orania. Hope it won't suceeed.

Well I like both very much! Both are nice

I know Sydney much better and I have much better beach access there

I do not know anyone in Perth, most of my friends are from Gold Coast or Sydney

And the annual monsoon (heavy rain) in Perth is somewhat annoying

OK, here is my response about Orania:

We visited Orania several years ago when we drove across South Africa,
it is a fascinating place and a model community for whites in my opinion.
Orania is growing and has room to grow!

Orania is physically larger than it seems,
because much of the Orange River valley, at least 30 km in both directions,
is farmland owned and operated by whites.
The farms are modern and sophisticated, like anything in the United States.
And there are other river valleys and small towns nearby that are sympathetic/allied with Orania.

Orania has excellent access to water because it is along the Orange River (a major river),
and there is a dam at one end of the river valley with a reservoir behind it providing water.
Presumably the dam can be taken in the event of a conflict.
And there is another dam and reservoir 120 km further up the river.
Beyond that are the mountains of Lesotho (small independent country), and the source of the river.

Otherwise the countryside is totally dry and empty,
so whites can easily concentrate in the river valley and control the entire surrounding area.

Also there are highways leading to two major cities (Kimberley and Bloemfontein),
110 km away, which is where any trouble would come from.

Of course they have their own economy using white labour (as it should be),
they have their own agriculture and white self-defence forces,
but I especially like that they have their own currency,
as if anticipating the collapse of the Rand and wanting to avoid bartering.

I am not from the area and I am not involved in their project, but I approve!

We are trying to concentrate the white population in the rural Western Cape province,
on or near the coast, we are trying to accommodate a larger population much more discreetly.
North or South of Cape Town is fine, otherwise Cape Town itself is a dangerous mess.

And our population is not totally separate, is allied with the local Coloureds (mixed people),
who are non-tribal and are 40% of the local population, but only 8% of the national population,
just like whites, so they are discriminated against by the ANC government, just like whites.
For example, even if they are 40% of the local population, they are allowed only 8% of jobs,
(whites are 20% of the local population, blacks are another 40%, most are non-Bantu).
So like the whites,
the Coloureds learn to be independent and form small businesses, and are against the government.

And I am indirectly involved in helping whites emigrate if they want to.
Most of them do not, or are unable to, I am dealing with a rural population,
there are some opportunities for them in Australia, North or South America, even Russia.
Amazingly, US and Australian media is opposed to white South African immigration,
while they encourage and glorify mass migration from the Third World.
The US and Australian media has discovered one immigrant group that they dislike!
(The educated professionals have mostly left for Europe, Australia, North America a long time ago. )

And I am indirectly involved in the Cape Independence Movement, which is strongest in Western Cape,
and has strong black support as well, against the ANC.
So the big picture is that we are trying to build a new country by separating from the old one.
Of course the national government will not allow secession,
but may be powerless to stop secession in an emergency,
the military is non-functional, tribal, extremely corrupt, in very bad shape,
missing much of its equipment and spare parts, the planes can hardly fly, etc.

South Africa is a failed state and can break apart like Yugoslavia at any moment.

And when that happens, the rural Western Cape will be the best place to live in my opinion.
(also has a Mediterranean climate along the coast)

Of course I love the idea of Orania, they were first,
though they are 700 km inland from where I am, or 500 km away from the border of Western Cape.
