Many of them are in Galicia, I noticed (not difficult because they always talk loudly )that they speak Portuguese with an different accent than the Portuguese. Well, here Gypsies also speak with a different accent, despite being 500 years here...

As a sidenote: I was just in Paris and was stopped by a young woman who asked me to sign something. I actually stopped to listen to what she had to say because she looked so well groomed, clean and pretty so I though she must be from some promoter of something, but when I saw she wanted money and didnt want to speak French I realized she was a gypsy. And my views just changed 100 degrees, so I just waved her off and walked away.

I think that's a good example of how gypsies can be tolerated if they behave normally, because even though she was exotic looking I was friendly to her when I didnt think she was parasiting off people.
