Second video in the trilogy of a voyage aboard luxury cruise ship MV Volendam from Sydney, Australia to explore all the highlights of amazing New Zealand.

First video goes from Sydney to the exceptionally serene and beautiful Milford Sound at the south of the South Island.

The third video covers all of the major cities of the North Island from NZ capital Wellington at it's south, to art deco Napier and beyond to scenic Tauranga, Rotorua, Auckland, and Paihia on the sub-tropical Bay of Islands and all the other outstanding sights of the truly superb North Island.

This second video takes us from unique Dunedin, near the south eastern end of the South Island, north to regal Christchurch - sadly just before the devastating earthquake which destroyed the beautiful city centre - and further north to superb Picton ideally sited within the huge unspoilt Marlborough Sound. Great video of magnificent cities and outstanding scenery!!

All up, the three NZ videos (all now posted to "youtube nleeder") give almost three hours of great video of the highlights of the amazingly beautiful and not yet too hectic islands of New Zealand - the true gem of the South Pacific. Enjoy!!!

New Zealand is definitely on my bucket list as I have some distant relatives there.

Well, since you're all the way on the other side of the world, go visit Iceland as substitution!

Both of these countries, despite being on polar opposite ends of the globe, are startlingly similar. They feature fjords, sulphurous mud pits, volcanoes etc (and cold weather of course).

This is the breathtaking location where the British blockbuster film The Lord of the Rings was filmed. New Zealand is named as the most beautiful country in the world.
Everything is in close distance in New Zealand....the mountains, parks, beaches, cities, etc, because it's 2 small islands where everything is in close proximity. Such an astonishing and magical country. I can see why New Zealand was selected for the backdrop for the Lord of the Rings films.
