This is not true, Roma and Sinti are the same people, but the Romani language differs from region to region due to local influence and so on, same with phenotype..

See traditional Romani distribution in europe:

All Romani peoples share the same North Indian origin, they migrated enmass some 1000 years ago and are today heavily mixed with European peoples, which can be seen in the high level of Balkan ancestry they carry..

Sinti, came from Sindhi, which is in current day pakistan. All Gypsies are from NW India. Gypsies have very little autraloid, they came from the NW part of the subcontinent which is like 10% Australoid, and Gypsies are like a quarter south asian, With European and West asian admixture. They are mostly European

Actually, no, the Sinti name has no proven correlation to Sindh Pakistan, it is merely a coincidence (my guess it is merely derived from German word for Gypsy Zigeuner which is pronounced Sigoeineer). And the degree of South Asian influence correlates to level of outbreeding and population size of the various sub-groups, a good overview is found here.

There is very little Australoid influence in any of the Gypsies. Most are Caucasoids, only a few have Weddid influences.
