Church Vandalised in France: "Death to France, Long Live Islam, Long Live Bin Laden"

On Saturday morning a parishioner discovered the graffiti on the wall of the Saint John the Baptist church in Bourgoin-Jallieu. These were done with a marker on two pillars, and on a notice on a panel at the back of the church. The messages were signed GIA, which may be a reference to the armed Islamic group. [Armed Islamic Group of Algeria].

Samedi matin, un paroissien a découvert des tags dans l'enceinte de l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bourgoin-Jallieu.
Il s'agit d'inscriptions injurieuses contre la religion catholique et contre la France, à la gloire de l'Islam et de Ben Laden. Elles ont été réalisées au marqueur sur deux piliers, ainsi que sur une affiche située sur le panneau au fond de l'église. Les messages sont signés du GIA, qui pourrait faire penser au groupe islamique armé.
La police a procédé aux constatations d'usage. L'équipe paroissiale a temporairement recouvert ces tags d'affichettes.
