Pretty balanced views. I thought people in the UK were usually quite nuts politically, honestly, for a long time. I still think a good many are (but it is the same in the US). You are a balanced guy overall. My opinion on homosexuality is very complex... And I have many friends who are Homosexual... yet I do not think a church should be forced to marry a gay couple... many churches will though, just pick one of them. It is different when someone is, say, selling bagels... If you do not sell homosexuals bagels, your business is PRETTY corrupt.
A church is not just some BUSINESS, you know? It is a congregation and religious community. The church should reach out to homosexuals just as they do with other people that do not like their belief system too, though, if they do reach out to any extent.
Why not? Most people Christians witness to are not aligned with the rest of their beliefs, so why not accept homosexuals too?
But yeah... Being forced to marry people who do not line up with THE CHURCH'S beliefs on marriage is a bit weird. They should have the freedom to not marry them, you know.
