I would expect the types with the largest jaws (ie. Borrebies and related types) to have the largest jaw muscles.

Not necessarly Jaw bones but things like large temporalis muscles. Large Jaw's do not necessarily or directly give any indication to Diet or the process of chewing, could have evolved just to withstand blows to the face.

Two bullshit posts in a row. Gotta love Apecity. The Homo skull did not evolve to withstand blows to the face. Large jaws in Homo are a consequence of large facial breadth which is a consequence of increased cranial capacity (cranial breadth).

The absolute maximum in masticatory muscle size is almost certainly attained by pure specimens of Borrebies, Eskimo, American Indians, etc.

But generally anyone can achieve hypertrophy on those groups,there are even specific tools sold online to do jaw muscle exercises.
