I think Mary should be revered, but not to the level of Christ our Lord. For me, fancy ornaments are nothing. It is our words, thoughts, prayers, and deeds that matter. That doesn't mean people should stop making fancy ornaments, but they shouldn't place emphasis on them over the thought.
