Are Mediterranean people White?

I know, they're all part of the "Caucasian" race, just like Arabs, Jews, and Nordic people, but according to Northern Europeans, Only Nordic people are actually "White", and Mediterranean people are a completely different people who are only influenced by Nordic people. If that's true, then how can Mediterranean people be part of the "White"Race, since they're completely separate and foreign to the Nordic race? What is the connection between those two groups of people besides geographical vicinity?

This thread isn't about my opinion on Mediterranean people. I'm asking, basically, how Mediterrenean people can be "White" or "just as good as Nordics", if they're separate at the same time.
This is according to the logic of people I've had the displeasure of listening to speak.

I know, but people use that label "White" to refer to the race. It's not necessarily about skin color.
And by "as good as", I guess I mean advanced. People compare the races like comparing cars.
