Yes. There are similarities. I'm able to understand Corsican better than any Northern Italian language.

Not what I excpected. There is a general myth here in the north that Iberians/Italians can "loosen up" and have fun way easier than us stiff Northerners. But it doesn't seem to be true.

Seems like the opposite. People up there in the north without sun paired with this garbage manmade system many end up becoming depressed alcoholics and the lack of sunlight makes them act weird and "autistic"-like. All humans no matter the race are supposed to be where the sun and the warmth is. Maybe the map is right and the people who are unhappy are cuz of manmade/"societal" issues and not the climate and geography itself for sure.
