funny thing is that russia had always a higher GDP per capita than estonia since 2010, Worldbank used outdated data or something, they also increased russias population to 143.5 million. Just think about it? Russia had since 2010 higher gdp per capita this is when you came into OECD i think.

WorldBank still has outdated stats on Estonian population. Lithuania (and probably Russia as well) had already updated its population figures based on the recent decadal census.

In Lithuania and Latvia the population change since the last census was drastic, in Estonia it was large. When WorldBank updates its figures, then Estonia will gain 4% in GDP/per person, thus regaining the lead.

Oh, and that without 50% of exports coming from oil or gas.

We are all poor, those GDP differences in Baltics and Russia are insignificant, they are smaller than difference between USA and Canada when you look at per capita GDP (PPP). Norway GDP per capita nominal is more than 5x bigger and purchesing parity one is 3x bigger so what difference does it do in the end?

everyone is poor in comparison to america because they own the media, the internet, the reserves currency, have most powerful military and so on. But its not such a difference in comparison to Eurozone, North Eastern Europe is only 25% poorer than eurozone.
