"Bring the Guard Home! It's the law." is a national movement of state campaigns to end the unlawful overseas deployment of our National Guard. State campaigns are active in Alaska, California, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Washington D.C., Washington, Wisconsin, and new states are joining all the time.

If the national guard were still used to guard our nation I'd sign up as soon as my active duty enlistment was over. However, as it stands now, those guys deploy more often than do guys like me.

I'm a proud veteran of the National Guard, and I am very upset at how the Federal government has abused these brave men and women. They didn't sign up for endless deployments to nurture democracy among the sand niggers. They signed up to defend their friends and neighbors against legitimate threats to the Constitution.

My unit was sent to Honduras back in '88, and we were told it was a 'training' mission to show the Honduran army how to use howitzers. Bull! We ended up giving fire support to the Contras in the hills on the Nicaraguan border. I didn't mind blowing shit up (one of the joys of good artillery!), but be honest about why we're there!

Bring them home. Bring home the troops that've occupied Germany, Japan, and Korea for more than sixty years. We should have no troops abroad as long as Congress has not declared war in a Constitutionally valid manner--which hasn't happened since January of '42--and when they're home, station them on the borders to keep the riffraff out!
