These people look super-Germanic: textbook Anglo-Saxon most of them. Now we must remember that Gwent region received English colonists from middle ages and thus became English speaking a LONG time ago (unlike the rest of Wales).

They're lovely people. A lot of people on sites like these say they look different to english people, but I can't really see any appreciable difference. Perhaps they're slightly more brunette on average, but I've never once seen someone and known they were welsh before they spoke.
