George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and the rest of the founding fathers of the United States were giants. So maybe the country they founded hasn't been perfect. No major world power ever is, is it? The US is essentially Europe with unlimited territory and unlimited resources. If we want to bash the US, let's be honest and bash ourselves first.

God bless you George Washington, but the monument to your eternal glory has become a giant, festering, corrupt pile of shit that calls itself a beacon of freedom.

Washington gets WAY TOO MUCH credit, considering his performance throughout most of the war; he was an incredibly incompetent general, constantly made absolutely ludicrous military blunders, nearly cost us the war innumerable times (for stupid reasons, no less), willingly received almost exclusive credit for victories that were mainly achieved by the brilliance of other officers, and was an extremely mediocre (maybe even terrible?) general when compared to other American generals from the revolution.

Washington should not get very much credit for the writing of the US Constitution, but as Commander of the Revolutionary Army, or Continental Army, he is unsurpassed. He held a rag tag group of men together for 8 long years, often without pay, clothing, food, trained officers and proper weapons. He did this fighting the greatest Army and Navy on the planet at that time. The British Empire was in reality world wide, and more powerful than the US is in today's world.

    Oh, and he won.

Washington, Franklin, Adams, Jefferson, Madison.....what a group of leaders. The US has not seen such a great group of men since. We need some of these men now.
