I hadn't played a console in about 4 years but beat GTA 5 a couple of weeks ago. Playing last of us now.

The dev that made it and the DLC is made up of less than 20 people. I too share your yearning for something like Mount n Blade but modern and massive; we'll have to cross our fingers for what the future may hold.

Try Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. It looks.. not so good, but it's really good.

Nords are too easy. Once you've got some castle of your own you can just start chain-producing huscarls and it's over, nothing can defeat you steamroller of death.
I myself used to play a lot cRPG years ago, when they first introduced Strategus (their strat mod).

Normandie is easy in CK2
