yes, but only with Nordic countries. we're negotiating on bringing every Lithuanian convicted of a crime to prisons here instead of prisons in Nordic countries.

And how are we supposed to prevent people with criminal records from leaving the country? You mean check everyone's ID that crosses Lithuanian border?

Do you mean cross-referencing passports/IDs with the national criminal registry? Modern technology easily facilitates such tasks.

I've read somewhere that 70% of crime in Lithuania is done my Slavic speaking minorities. (and our minorities are much more likely to emigrate since they tend to be an economically vulnerable class)
however, It wouldn't surprise me if those criminals in Iceland are mostly ethnic Lithuanians since we're not the most behaved group and our government passively supports and encourages crime.

Are Slavs really that overrepresented? I'm suprised. I've seen some stats regarding crime in Vilnius but then Vilnius is only about 60 % Lithuanian. Maybe you've read about regions that have % of Slavic inhabitants?

It's been a while since I've seen the study (I think it's from the yearly 2000's) but yeah about 70% of them are slavs.
(It's not very surprising considering how impoverished they are)
