Some do look OK, but it in general it makes them look ''boyish''. I prefer women with long hair. I like passing my hands through their long silky hair and smell the essence of femininity.

I always leave them a bit longer, because of the big scar on my forehead (it's from..hmm physical confrontation). But never at shoulder length.

When I was younger I'd cut my hair like these two styles, a longer A-line cut at an extreme angle with blunt bangs, and the chelsea cut. These are my favorite styles for short hair, otherwise I love long hair. These two styles look the best with long sides and short bangs.

My favorite haircut if having my hair cut. Just short and simple, while having some more on the top/front than the sides.
I have very thick, fast growing hair and they tend to curl after some growth (the only time I left it grow on purpose, I looked like one of the ancient statues from my friends' words), so I like to just trim and shorten every-time it gets a bit unruly.
I don't think I've ever gone beyond this in six or seven years ( a pic from last year I think) :

I think which ever hair style men or women follow, must match with their personality and make them appearance better. I like clean and shinny hair most for boys and girls both.
