By the way, nothing in that article was particularly revolutionizing. Also, the only reason we don't have e-voting is that we aren't a third world country (like Estonia), who rush to adopting cool things, without investigating the consequences of it.

What facts? How about you pin-point the things in the article you think you cannot do in Sweden, and I will respond to it.

It's typical for the Swedes to try to steel honor for something someone else has done.

More Finnish companies, than Swedish companies in that Red Herring list. Just saying...

I think voron at ABF hit the nail on the head with this post:

It is still common for people in US to pay with checks, for example. Money deposits are often made by cash in paper envelopes in drive-by booths and so on.
The only ones with their panties in knot about this are countries like Estonia. I would go as far as say that your insane upload speed is THE marker of a developing nation. Woke up in strange place and do not know how you got there? Check your phone wi-fi signal. If it is strong - be worried, as it just might be Bangladesh. Or Estonia.
    Cheers

Estonia is a "very highly developed nation" (not highly, but specifically "very highly)" according to the Human development index (HDI). 33th among the most developed countries in the world, 25th with the inequality index added.

    Stop trolling.

So, you couldn't find anything in the article which you can only in the IT-titan Estonia, and not in Sweden? So you agree that Sweden and Estonia at least are equal in terms of IT? Then I have to ask what you meant with "backwards" earlier???

I think I have "pwned" a certain individual enough for a while now.

I brought up Finland just to brag. It was just an off topic remark.

Dude, you literally got your ass handed to you. Look a few posts back, I just proved that Estonia is an IT-gigant, where most of the EU's new IT-solutions come from.

When Swedish banks bought Estonian banks, there was a problem with the Swedish banks being about 6 years behind the Estonian banks in terms of IT and the quality of internet banking and other IT-solutions in banking, dropped in Estonia.

Estonia has only a lot of IT thanks to soviet research which was located there.

Interesting. Sweden is ranked 8th on that list. But I guess its irrelevant to mention in your argument?

    Sweden:

Estonia with its proud 33th place:
    http://hdrstats.undp.org/en/countries/profiles/EST.html

Also you mentioned something earlier about which country that was most connected?
    Sweden
Fixed and mobile telephone subscribers per 100 people (per100 people) 168.6
    Estonia
Fixed and mobile telephone subscribers per 100 people (per100 people) 159.3
