They weren't. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, but historically that is the truth.

I don't believe in immigration to Europe anyway, or to any Old World country on any continent. I only said Syrian Christians I would not mind in Italy because 1) they can pass much of the time as an exotic southerner and 2) Lebanese Christians I know can assimilate into Italian American families here, so surely they could assimilate in Italy too.

I'm going to be honest.

In the New World I do not care who immigrates, because the premise of the US is as an immigrant country.

But I do not want to see Sub-Saharan Africans in Italy. Syrians, particularly Syrian Christians can assimilate and at least in Calabria could probably pass as native origin Calabrese, so that isn't really a bother to me but at the same time it sets a precedent that European countries are expected to be like the US and Brazil and accept immigrants and they should have the choice.

Kyenge should be thankful for the opportunities she has in Italy that she'd never be afforded in her home country, and stop trying to destroy Italy. Practically treason.

Africans and magrebis in Italy are ''cultural enrichment''...sure...we're the country of the Imperial Rome, of the Sea Republics, of the city-states, of the Renaissance, of Michelangelo, Galileo, Volta, Marconi, etc.....do we really need a ''cultural enrichment''?

At least are magrebi and other MENAs and subsaharians who have a ''cultural upgrade'' living there, lol.
