Maybe between German speakers and Eastern Euros, but other Western Euros have certainly had stronger relations with Med peoples than with Eastern Euros.

There are definetly divides in Europe.
From a Nordic perspective we are definetly not the same as Greeks, Italians or Spaniards. They have a different mentality from us which we could call the "manana, manana and siesta"- culture. Southerners are viewed as pushy with a broader concept of morality. (Think: Italian footballplayer filming great pain and agony)
Also there is a very significant east/west divide. Nordic peoples view Bulgarians, Romanians, Ukrainians, Russians e.t.c. as dispensable, with a lower morale and are untrustworthy partners in negotiations. (Think; organised crime and broken agreements)
This post is just spot on.

'nordic' countries is going unnecessarily north imo, i'd divide north/south from the top of Italy south, you just draw a line, otherwise it gets innacurate, unrealistic because the Germanic peoples have a lot in common with centrals and easterns as albion said

There isn't neither a common ''southern european culture''.

Even among romance peopl there are at least 5-6 divisions: ibero-romance (Portugal, Spain), gallo-romance (Catalunya, France, Wallonia, North-west Italy), rhaeto-romanic (northeast Italy, Switzerland), italic (italian peninsul down the La Spezia-Rimini line), insular (Corsican, Sardinian), eastern romance (Romania, Moldova).

Language groups dont equal culture. I can't see how Wallonians or French can be closer to Catalonia or to North Italy than to Flemish Belgium. Nortwest Italy culturally closer to Wallonia than to Norteast Italy? Really?

I'm talking about ethnolginuistical group, not about ''culture''. There isn't a common galloromance culture in the same way there isn't a common ''germanic'' culture, simply.

That's why paninclusive terms like ''Southern Europe'' or ''Eastern Europe'' are senseless, except for geography.
