As a Central Asian, it all depends on the individual. From my experience, many kazakhs can pass in all of Northern Asia, including korea and japan. Some have lighter features and look like Uralic peoples, and others look like their southern neighbours like Uzbeks. Speaking of Uzbeks, it also depends on the individual. Most uzbeks are about half east asian admixed, and half caucasoid (iranic). Some of my family members can pass as Kyrgyz while others look Persian.
Uzbeks and Kazakhs don't necessarily look vastly different, it's just that Uzbeks have more Iranic influence. Most Central Asians still look similar. Kazakhs and Kyrgyz have similar phenotypes, often with 70-80% E Asian admixture. Same for Uzbeks and Uyghurs who have similar phenotypes and are 35-60+ E Asian admixture. Turkmens are slightly under the former group, and Tajiks are below Turkmens.
Central Asians are very diverse, and I've noticed the differences can be pretty big within the Uzbek, Turkmen and Kyrgyz population.
