In the 1994 elections, the first where anyone could vote, people were stocking up on canned food for weeks and some had bunkers in preparation for chaos. The schools were closed for two weeks. And there was talk that as soon as the ANC won, your house would be taken over by droves of black people with weapons.
The long and the short of it is: Nothing happened.
All that will occur is that there will be a massive state funeral, the flags will fly and half-mast and it may be declared a public holiday.
The only people who are worried about this event are the extreme right wing.

I don't find it amusing. The violence in South Africa is terrible and rationalizing it with such nonsense is even worst.

Nelson Mandela is nothing more than a common communist terrorist turned into a god by some commie apes like himself. SA suffered greatly with the end of Apartheid. Not only the Economy was damaged, but there's an ongoing white genocide. White people are soon to be extinct in SA. I wish there were more brave men such as Terre'Blanche. SA must go back to its righteous owners, the Afrikaners. Mandela's death will be the apotheosis of a demon.

Just like the whole white population are not extremist right wing Afrikaners, the black population isn't all a bunch of blood-thirsty revolutionaries either. The majority of people are between these two extreme poles. Unfortunately its always the extreme groups which cause media attention, and are responsible for creating stereotypes and misconceptions about a country.
