Users, would you ever consider taking Antidepressants to increase your mood, make you happier, less anxious, and more sociable?

I have no depressive illness, I am taking antidepressants to get myself in a nice hypomanic state where my thoughts and creativity are freed from the shackles of mundane experiences.

The antidepressant that I am taking, Trintelix, is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it inhibits the recycling of serotonin from between nerve junctions, thereby increasing serotonergic neurotransmission. The latter is associated with good relaxed mood, relief of depression, relief of anxiety.

Petros, your avatar makes you LOOK like you are melancholy or prone to depression. It's not nearly near manic.

I have a habit of not smiling when I take selfies. But inside I am a happy guy. I really enjoy my life on my meds.

    can read and write faster
    improves attention, memory, and concentration

I take breaks in between study periods, in which I don't take stimulants to let my brain readjust temporarily before I resume taking them.
I don't know, I am not much informed about it. I just know that drug addicts once are of the drugs can hardly be normal again. Overuse of pineal gland. If it is so good as you put it logic dictates that we all should tomorrow buy some antidepressants. But hey, if you know when to stop and it is not effecting you in any way...

I have no need for such drugs. Daily excersize and meditation are the only things I do to keep my mind healthy.

Just iron supplements when I'm on my period.

Regarding antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs, I've noticed that doctors in America tend to prescribe them way too easily, it seems like they are being handed out like sweets

I've taken Dextroamphetamine before. It left me emotionally detached but yet very aggressive if I lost my temper. That stuff is like looking through a narrow tunnel.

I am sorry to hear that. I have only had positive experiences with Dexedrine. It helps my antidepressants lift up my mood and create a motivated state of mind in which I can study and take pleasure in it. Dexedrine makes people wakeful and sharp, it improves attention, concentration, and memory.
