    trainers usually dont emphasize much on lifting for their fighters . rather power endurance exercises like burpees , intervall stuff etc. . but lifting a little on the side is good too

    but when the aim is to go up a weight class then weight training will become important . at least for a certain period of time

    Yes the general recommendation in bodybuilding world is
    1 gram of protien per pound of lean body mass. Btw when i was my strongest 150kg on bench and 100kgs on shoulder press. I was only eating 55gram of protien a day.

    is 100 grams enough for me for example when I am on a cut ? I usually eat 120-130 on a cut but I dont want to eat so much protein it sucks to be so careful about it

    You need more protien when you are loosing weight.
    I will recommend 1gram protien of lbm. When you are dieting to make positive nitrogen balance. Otherwise you will loose the muscle weight more. And please do whole body weight training. Weight loss without weight training is basically 75% fat 25% muscle loss. And this ratio will increase to 50/50 if you are already normal weight
