How common is dark hair among Germans?

Dark hair is very common in Germany I don't mean black but light/medium brown.
There is many blonde people too. Just such a nice mix

Hmm You can meet native german people with dark brown hair too.
Hardly ever seen a german with black hair. Well they were immigrants mostly or just dyed hair (what is common everywhere)

In this case, figures include light brown hair. In absolutely no circumstance are 66% of Germans blond (not to speak of 46% of Poles), not even in Schleswig. From what i've noticed, my hair color (golden/ash medium brown) is the most common of all.

In this case I totally agree. 66% blonde is a ridicolous statement. Perhaps in the sense what Italians and Greek regard as blonde but not for real standards

Dark blond and light brown are the most common among adults. Then comes medium blond and medium brown on the same percentage, imo. Dark brown is also common, but black is very rare (but still exist).

There is nothing exotic about dark hair in Germany. There are many Germans who are dark-haired. Nevertheless the majority of (white) Germans have light hair (blonde+light brown+auburn+red) in over half of their population. Germans are quite diverse, though it is safe to say that the blondest regions are found in the north nearer Denmark and the North Sea. The most brunette regions of Germany are as expected in the south nearer to France, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Bavaria is probably the darkest region(17-20% blond-hair range) of this large North-Central European nation, while Schleswig-Holstein is the lightest region (nearly 50% blond-haired). The typical German is protrayed as having (dark) blonde/(light) brown hair and light eyes (blue/gray/green), but not all Germans are so.

When I was in Berlin I figured out that Germans are noticeably darker haired than Norwegians. My guesstimation is that overall Germans are around 50-65% like this or lighter, the rest are darker haired.

Berlin is in Northern Germany. I have Swiss German Cousins and their hair is draker than mine.

I agree, Germans are swarthy and not fully white.
