Yeah, because those Christians were no longer a threat. They were conquered and they were a source of taxes. Armenian, Greek, and Sephardic Jewish merchants were a major source of revenue for the Ottomans.

In contrast the Ottomans didn't conquer the Catholic world and so it was a military threat to them. Oh, and Orthodox Russians, of course, was a major threat to them by the 18th century.

Herr Abubu still has the Orthodox vassal mentality though. He wants Islam to grow in Europe, just like the Orthodox Church was submissive to the Ottomans back then. Or is it Sweden that had made him that way? There's one conundrum.

Yes, and the Orthodox Christians of the Balkans preferred the Ottomans to the "Latins" because of things like the Fourth Crusade, which was a large factor in the decline of the Byzantine Empire, and the continual undermining of the Byzantine Empire and the Orthodox nations.
