Default The Absurd Amount of English Words

Anyone else frustrated with the superfluous amount of English vocabulary? One can know 10,000s of words, yet still can't read an article or a book without stumbling upon alien words. It is exceedingly frustrating.

Well it's simply a highly functional and constantly evolving language that has wide range of influences, making it the perfect medium for global communication.

English is actually fairly simple when compared to other languages. I like the large vocabulary we possess, it allows one to describe and express things in more detail.

Really there's no better language for expressing yourself in the most thorough and detailed manner possible.

With the exception of missing many words that my own language has. I guess you just loan them in that case, just like Schadenfreude.

English people also like to make tons of slang, even just among friends. So made up regional and even personal idiosyncracies are very common. English people must be the most verbal in the world.

In comparison to German, English seems like a kindergarten language. For example you have in the German language 5 more words to describe the same thing and every word has its own specific meaning. I love the German language. It is more vivid and expressive than limited English. I often have a hard time expressing myself in English.
