This is true, though. There is a "South Cro-Magnid" branch that generally includes ethnic Berbers and other North African peoples. Now, whether or not the Cro-Magnid influence came in during Neolithic times or during the Muslim occupation of Spain is debatable, but its origins in North Africa is pretty set...

If you refer to Ibero-Maurusian culture, it's even previous to the Neolithic.
