    Yes but the question is, is all that muscle functional? Can you least 2 rounds of boxing or sparring?

    Can you run 3 miles without getting winded? Can you hike 5 miles with a 60 lb pack? ec

    You should train to compete in strongman competitions. You'd be the first Indian competitor in the Met-Rx WSM. But better get to lifting hard because you'll be up against those Icelanders and Lithuanians.

    Things you mention would be a problem for someone with improper BMI,which is not something I suffer from.90% of my 218 lbs are muscle and bone mass,minimum fats.

    Im faster than most people in sprints and in mobility.In my whole life this has been the biggest mistake people have made towards me,thinking im going to be slow and sluggish because im heavy.

    This "functional muscle" and "functional training" sound like nonsense to me. Muscle built by pushups and pullups(bodyweight excersises) aren't any more "functional" than muscle built by bench press and lat pull downs on a gym machine.

    There is nothing un-funtional about gym muscles. All kinds of professional athletes train in the gym. Even soccer players.(maybe except swimmers? idk)
    Those roided up guys at Mr Olympia competitions do have unfuctional muscles for real life situations, but their body is functional for the competitions they participate in

    the problem with pushups is that 99% mean unweighted ocassionally done ,what you need to grow muscle is progressive overload.

    Most people are overdoing it because they are told that they need to take all kinds of bs supplements to look good,they sell those overrated supplements with photos of roided up bodybuilders as if it was the supplement that made them huge and ripped.

    A lot of gym goers aren't even going for aesthetics and have this weird obsession with getting "big and buff".
